VOTE FOR DOWNTOWN TUPELO

We are striving to win $25,000 for our Main Street Program. Downtown Tupelo Main Street has been here for 26 years and have been able to head projects like the Elvis Presley Birthplace Trail, Fairpark Development and District. We organize and produce events like Wine Dowtown, Down on Main Concert Series and the internationally attended, award-winning Tupelo Elvis Festival. We also act as a hub for Downtown and provide support to our members and businesses in our district. Downtown Tupelo has come a long way over many years of hard work towards a devoted vision. These extra funds would help our downtown significantly!

Every 24 hours you can vote for Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association and we greatly appreciate your help!

Do you hear that sound? Do you hear that beat? Do you hear that rhythm? We are Downtown Tupelo: American Rhythm, True Southern Spirit. Tupelo, Mississippi, is most often known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley, but our story doesn't end with rock-n-roll. Since 1991, our Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association has worked to change the lives of our residents and visitors by establishing a true sense of place, of identity. Our sound is the sound of movement, of progress, of people going to work each day, opening shops, prepping the kitchen, and doing the work that keeps this town moving ahead. Our strong economic base includes a 112-year-old department store, specialty boutiques, financial institutions and service sector businesses. Our beat is the spirit of a place that turns a mall and fairground back into a downtown district. Our Fairpark district is surrounded by restaurants, shopping and housing, and hosts events year round including 5k and 10k races, tailgates and concerts. This district is also home to popular local events and festivals, with our most well-known event being the International Tupelo Elvis Presley Festival. Our rhythm is the hum of a Toyota factory just up the road where Americans build cars. It is the echo of a place rebuilt after winds tore it apart, and not just once. It is the flip of a switch that illuminated an entire region and made Tupelo the first Tennessee Valley Authority electric city. Tupelo is a spirit of a place where people live and come because there is always a reason to be downtown. Our downtown tells our story - the very first place where Elvis bought a guitar and changed the world. We are working to change the lives of our residents and visitors still today.
