DTMSA is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization working for the revitalization and promotion of Historic Downtown Tupelo.

2. WHO FUNDS DOWNTOWN TUPELO MAIN STREET ASSOCIATION?

Funds are generated through local government, partnership dues, grants, sponsorships, and self generated funds.

3. WHY SHOULD YOU BECOME A partner?

4. WHY ARE partnership RATES BASED ON THE NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES?

By preserving and restoring our Historic Downtown, we directly impact and benefit the lives of individuals within our community; individuals who work in your business. The more employees you have, the more people benefit and participate in the work of Main Street.

6. WHO DOES THE WORK OF Downtown Tupelo Main Street ASSOCIATION?

DTMSA is a community-driven organization and is governed by a board of 15 directors with a full time executive director and 3 full time staff members managing the day to day activities of our organization. Our staff, Board of Directors, Downtown Tupelo businesses, volunteers and City of Tupelo work together to accomplish our mission.

7. WHAT HAS Downtown Tupelo Main Street ASSOCIATION ACCOMPLISHED?

You can simply ride through Historic Downtown Tupelo to take note of our past projects. Our award-winning projects include the Elvis Presley Birthplace Bike Trail, many murals, bicycle racks, crosswalks, the restoration of business facades and Fairpark. DTMSA is also a national winner of the prestigous Great American Main Street Award (2020). Many of these projects would not have been possible without the help of our public and private community partners.

8. ARE THERE OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE?

Yes! DTMSA relies heavily on active volunteers to serve on committees, help with events and fundraising, or sponsoring events. Contact our office to get involved!

2024 BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP

Organizations located in the Downtown Tupelo District are eligible for a DTMSA partnership which include voting rights. This comes into play at the Annual Meeting each Fall where board members are selected and other major planning takes place. During monthly meetings, partners discuss event planning, community outreach, and improvements to the Downtown Area.
