Alex Bostic - Paintings from Life Exhibit

"Remo" Oils 10x10

After obtaining an associate in arts, bachelor of fine arts and master of arts degrees, Bostic would go on to work as a greeting card designer, advertising, an illustrator draftsman for the U.S. Navy, to now teaching. Bostic is currently in his sixth year as an associate professor of drawing at MSU. When teaching, he wants the students to have focus and determination when designing their concepts. He has stated, "Learning to draw and think in a sequential way is important. If you're a thinker who can draw creative ideas, you can make a living with your crafting use your talents to change lives." In turn we see this focus and determination applied in Bostic's artworks.
