REED’S ANNUAL TUPELO CHRISTMAS PARADE

Reed’s 78th Annual Tupelo Christmas Parade

The Annual Reed’s Tupelo Christmas Parade is a beloved Downtown Tupelo tradition that officially kicks off the holiday season each year. Held at night on the first Friday of December, this festive parade brings the community together for an evening filled with holiday spirit, music, and dazzling displays.

Proudly sponsored by Reed’s Department Store, a Downtown Tupelo cornerstone for more than 120 years, the parade features marching bands, walking groups, commercial floats, and non-commercial floats, with awards presented in each category. Each year, a Grand Marshal is announced in early fall, followed by the release of parade applications. The application deadline traditionally falls during the second week of November.

The parade is recorded by WTVA and broadcast throughout the December holiday season, allowing even more families to enjoy the magic. Hosts from Reed’s Department Store help guide the evening’s festivities, and the celebration always concludes with the arrival of Santa Claus himself, making the Annual Reed’s Tupelo Christmas Parade a cherished holiday tradition and a true start to the season in Downtown Tupelo.
