The Depot is a $2.1 million project funded by the City of Tupelo and Tupelo Convention & Visitors Bureau. The project was designed by architect Chris Root of Tek1 Studio with construction by Master Craft Builders. Named “The Depot” to reflect Tupelo’s train history and its location by the railroad tracks, the structure’s design includes a center cupola which replicates the shape atop Tupelo’s original train depot. The multi-purpose facility will provide a location for Tupelo Farmers Market and other events. The facility has a stage for live music, restrooms, tables and chairs. The Depot will also have parking beside the facility on Front Street for food trucks
