Yaron Kohlberg, Piano
The NMSO welcomes the return of piano virtuoso Yaron Kohlberg, winner of more than ten international piano competitions and recently-appointed President of the Cleveland International Piano Competition. Described by NPR as “…and when the music ends, if you’re not deeply moved by the depth of Kohlberg’s insight, you might want to check your pulse” and as “the pianist with the golden hands” by international media, Jerusalem-born and Israeli native Yaron Kohlberg is one of today’s top pianists, performing in major halls in 40 countries spanning five continents. Mr. Kohlberg performs the beautiful and dramatic first piano concerto of Sergei Prokofiev and the delightful and charming second piano concerto of Dmitri Shostakovich, and the orchestra is featured in Brahms beautiful Symphony No. 3.
